About the course:

This is a highly practical course for students with an interest in theatre and performance. Students’ skills are developed through practical workshops, seminars and studio performances, including options of dance, singing and acting with supporting subjects to include costume, hair and make up for theatre and set and prop design.  The College offers facilities unrivalled in the region including the 160 seat professional theatre, our new studio theatre, high specification rehearsal and dance studios and extensive production workshops.

Level 2 students have a minimum of two public performances over the year and will be assessed through a range of assignments which include practical demonstrations and performances, both in our theatres and at local venues, which are, in turn, supported by written coursework to inform your practice.

English and Maths are part of the core programme of study. Students who have not achieved grade A-C / 9-4 in English or Maths will be required to study the appropriate level as part of their main qualification. More information
